The cocktail bar under the oak trees was perfect for our cocktail hour that immediately followed our ceremony. The chapel makes for a very intimate romantic wedding with plenty of room for our 260 guests. The bride and groom suites on property are perfect for getting ready and pre-wedding bonding. The option to use the Ranch house next door worked perfectly for my wife and her family. I have been to many wedding venues in the Hill Country and this one is hands down the best (nothing compares)!! Everything you could want and need is right there on the property. Our wedding was beautifully amazing and besides my wife being the most beautiful bride ever, the Chandelier of Gruene was the chief reason in making the most perfect amazing wedding ever. There is nothing negative to say about the Chandelier of Gruene & we would absolutely recommend them to every couple looking for their dream venue! The venue is so picturesque so it’s no surprise that our wedding pictures & bridal portraits turned out better than we could have ever imagined. Our guests had an absolute blast, and we had the wedding we always dreamed of. The Chandelier of Gruene is on the pricier side for venues, but it is worth every penny in our mind. It was still hot, but definitely not unbearable. We provided cheap fans & bottled water to guests as they were making their way in which helped to make it more comfortable for everyone. We got married in June so we were initially worried about the heat in the chapel. We were able to relax and spread out before the wedding, and even had our private meal as Bride and Groom in the bridal suite before going in to the reception. The bridal & grooms suites are super spacious and perfect for getting ready without feeling cramped. They are so friendly, helpful, & truly care about each of their couples. We absolutely loved the Chandelier of Gruene & how perfect it was for our big day. I cannot recommend The Chandelier of Gruene enough. They make you feel like family, and when you are planning a wedding, those are the kind of people that you want alongside you. They were always there if I had a question, and always accommodated me when I needed to come by. Not only that though, behind the beautiful exterior are the kindest people that own this place. I didn’t even want to look at any other venues. So, I scheduled a tour, and when I saw it in person, it was breathtaking. Not only was The Chandelier large enough, it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. And the reception hall holds 500, which was nice so our guests weren’t crowded. The beautiful white chapel (which is what I fell in love with) holds 300 in the covered area, which was perfect for us. But as soon as I did, I knew it was THE ONE! I had a larger guest list, so I had to find a venue that would accommodate more people. I did a lot of online research for venues before booking, and because The Chandelier of Gruene was new when I was searching, I didn’t initially see it. Ready to share their legacy built on the foundation of love provided from Myra’s parent’s marriage of 66 years and Tim’s parent’s marriage of 61 years, they are excited and blessed to bring this amazing venue to future married couples hoping they will find the same love and friendship that their family has found. Together, they have turned that vision in to a reality. Now she is back in the industry again, this time with her family at her side sharing that same passion. So here she is 35 years later, married (34 years and counting), has two beautiful daughters, gained two wonderful sons (in law) and two precious granddaughters. With Myra’s work career having started in the bridal industry some 35 years ago as a bridal consultant at a family owned bridal boutique, the purchase of the property and her and her husband’s vision in mind, she realized that she still had that burning passion to be part of the bridal industry. Their long term vision was to incorporate the home into an exquisite wedding & events venue with a warm and welcoming feel just like the ranch home had offered for so many years prior. They knew it had so much potential and before long they turned the property into Escondida de Gruene, a vacation rental and gathering place for family vacations and events hosting guests from all over the world. It was a private oasis of Texas Hill Country, but yet so close to everything, including Historic Gruene, Texas just minutes away. In 2011, Myra and Tim purchased property that had a beautiful ranch home nestled among majestic oaks. The Chandelier of Gruene came to reality after years of thought, research & prayers.
